If anyone wants a quality video to watch about slam poetry, check out this TEDTALK featuring Sarah Kay. It does a wonderful job of explaining slam poetry and it is a source of inspiration for me.

Flash Fiction Inspiration
I found this awesome site of flash fiction (really really short stories, usually less than 500 words). I may be using some of their pieces in my product (credited, of course) as inspiration. But check it out they have some amazing stuff!

Product
Oh, dear. I haven't posted in a while. Well, just wanted to explain my current plan.
Plan
-- Product based-- create a book of writing prompts, favorite bits of writing, small artworks, photos, etc.
This will be self published and available for acquisition hopefully soon...depending on if I make one or a series
I'm really excited about this, and prompts and samples from the book will be put up soon.
Love to all, stay creative!!

Change of Pace
11/9/13
Hi everyone! I
know I haven’t posted in a while; my apologies. I am reinventing my keystone
just a little bit. Instead of it being service based, it is going to be product
based. The end result will be a type of writing prompt/art/creativity
guidebook. Not sure exactly what it will look like yet, but if anyone has any
ideas, feel free to shoot me an email. My keystone email is riviwriter@gmail.com. Message me with
ideas for my product, works in progress for editing, artwork, anything really. Please
let me know what you guys want to see on this blog. For now, I’m going to hope
someone emails me with ideas or awesome work. I may do a series of workshops,
or it could be something more like a virtual workshop (more details to come).
For now, follow my blog. Soon I will be starting a Youtube channel with
tutorials and virtual workshops, so stay tuned! Thanks and Stay Creative! Love
to all. <3.

Welcome to my Keystone Blog on Self Expression and Creativity!!
10/24/13
Hi everyone and
welcome to my keystone blog! For my high school, the Jewish Community High
School of the Bay, we are given the opportunity to spend a year exploring a
topic that interests you. Over this school year, I will be doing my keystone
(senior project) on Self Expression through Writing, Art and Creativity and I
invite all of you to follow along my yearlong journey. This blog will document
my journey through my service-based keystone. Over this year, I will complete 40 hours of community
service, lead workshops and classes, do all kinds of art, write an expository paper,
and give my final presentation at the end of the year. I will be working in my
community, directing writing workshops, virtual ukulele lessons, art classes,
art performances, and more. I will post on this blog when and where these fun
and free workshops, shows, fundraisers, etc. will happen so that any and all of
you can come. Some of them do have a specific age range, but throughout the
year there will be something for everyone. And even if you cannot physically
make it to the workshop, I will be posting the themes and prompts right here on
this blog. So join me and follow along as I study the impact of creativity on the
human mind and quality of life. Stay tuned for writing prompts, DIY art videos
and tutorials, and more and a fantastic year! Thanks and Stay Creative! Love to
all. <3.
